Kraak porcelain charger with a deer decorated in the center surrounded by flowering Lotus, Chrysanthemums and other plants.The broad flat rim border contains four panels with flowers and four alternately with precious emblems among scrollwork, separated by ornamental tassels .This dish represents a version of the type of design of Kraak Porcelain dishes that were exported to the west from China in the 16th Century. The Dutch had turned to the Japanese Kilns after the Chinese trade collapsed, following the fall of the Ming dynasty in 1644.
