Koryo Celadon Small Dish
Koryo Dynasty (AD 918-1393)
Celadon Glaze, White Slip-Inlay and Black Iron Oxide
Korea
D: 11.3cm x H: 3cm
This dish is one of the charming celadon products of the Koryo dynasty. It is decorated inside with three abstract chrysanthemum flowers encircling one central flower. The design of the Chrysanthemum petals is well-defined, showing expert use of the sanggam inlay technique deployed under a finely crackled celadon glaze.
