Cream Crackle Glazed Bottle
18th Century
Stoneware
Japan or Korea
H: 17cm
The profile of this pear-shaped bottle is exceptional. The body seems to swell outward at the belly, tapering to a slender neck which is topped by a rounded mouth. The smooth contours of this bottle, along with its milky cream and brown tones crackled over its surface, give the piece a serene quality and iridescence.
