Blue And White Barbed-Rim Dish Depicting Two Cranes

Provenance: Old Japanese Collection 

Sturdily potted with 12 lobes with shallow and rounded sides rising from a circular thick footrim. The interior depicts two cranes amongst flowering peonies below swirling clouds, painted in a deep underglaze cobalt blue. The rim is glazed with a caramel brown wash. Six character Chenghua mark on the bottom in a double ring.
