Xing ware White Glazed Petal-Lobed Bowl

Xing ware, High-fired stoneware.
Hebei Province, China.

The bowl is finely potted and glazed overall with a white glaze with a blue tint, with wide flaring straight sides rising from a broad central medallion to a knife-pared rim divided into five uneven petal lobes by thin protruding curved ribs on the interior. The glaze stops evenly around the wide footrim exposing the unglazed fine white clay body.
